AIRugby France

The International Rugby Academy (Académie Internationale de Rugby – AIR) in France continues its development towards excellence!

We are proud to announce the establishment of a partnership with the prestigious SAS (Stellenbosch Academy of Sport) International Rugby Institute, located in Stellenbosch, South Africa.

During our next summer rugby internship session which will take place in Toulouse in July 2021, SAS Rugby will look to send South African players and coaches to join the interns of the International Rugby Academy to participate in the training sessions and the life of the Promotion 2021.

On the other hand, 5 French players selected by the AIR will be offered 3 weeks of internship in South Africa from July 22 to August 08, 2021.

This partnership, which marks a strong step in AIR’s international development, is part of a desire for exchanges between AIR Top coaches and SAS Rugby coaches, and this throughout of the year in order to collaborate and initiate synergies on innovative training, physical and mental preparation techniques oriented towards high performance and high level.

Stellenbosch is widely regarded as the home of South African rugby, with a rich tradition over the past 150 years. It is the home of Stellenbosch University (Maties), the biggest rugby club in the world and the club that has produced the most Springboks, such as Jean de Villiers, Schalk Burger, Frans Malherbe, Francois Louw, Willie le Roux and Schalk Brits.

The commitment signed with SAS Rugby allows AIRugby to facilitate registration and to act as a free intermediary to accompany in their approach the French players who would like to participate in one of the courses proposed by the SAS Rugby. If you are interested, contact AIR for more information:
